◈ ALL Jewelry is Handmade and Original, from simple and basic to complex and ornate. Meticulously designed, intricate and carefully layered, each piece is cleverly-chained and uniquely one of-a-kind…
◈ Some necklaces are purposely left unfinished to give customers a chance to participate in the creative process. Customers have the option to have creative control over the design of their own necklace..
◈ What makes a necklace "Clever" is its ability to be worn in multiple ways. For example, the piece is a Layered Choker or Long Drop-Pendant necklace because it has two clasps, one on each side..
◈ Each necklace comes with "back-necklace" details, the look is just as important on the back as it is on the front, we must complete the style in the back as well..
◈ The “LMG” letters in front of product numbers are my initials, the number is the current running count of necklaces in total, of all time..
◈ The gold gear built into my designs, has an engraved "L" initial, it is my way of signing my art...

IV. Necklace Types/Configurations
I. My Style
CHARMS!! and More CHARMS AND PENDANTS! The symbology of the materials I utilize allows me to tell a story within the art... and the art is so much more than the utility of it-- to only be worn...
My favorite color is purple, second is red, aquas and berries, gemstone color palettes. I love metallics, anything glittery and shiny, blingy, chunky, furry, velvet, hardcore...
I love using and making big chunky exaggerated components, I love working with all materials but chaining and using contrasting metal-finished charms, chains and pendants is where the fun is. My favorite imagery and art movements are impressionism (Van Gogh) and Surrealism, DALI, Esher, Maxfield-- anything fantasy and unbelievable. Art Nouveau EVERYTHING, I love scrolling/filigree and whimsical imagery...
I love using rare materials and opposing styles, I love asymmetry over symmetry. I love mixing styles, mashing, layering, referencing all styles. I particularly love Steampunk, Heavy-Metal and Rocker, Bohemian (modern hippy), Nautical, Pirate, anything Alternative. A few more favorite styles include: Industrial, Gothic, Dystopian, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Fairytale, Mythological, Legendary, Beachy, Day of the Dead, Halloween, Holiday and Seasonal, Urban, Tribal, Modern, Retro, Art Deco, Avant Garde, CUBIST and Geometric, Rock-a-billy, Pin-up, Tattoo, traditional and non-traditional--everything...
I love repurposing, upcycling and found object. It's easier to be original if your supplies are not used traditionally. I love using old skeleton keys, watches, belts, purses, jackets, vintage, thrifted and so on. In order to be original in a sea of other Handmade Jewelers, one can really set themselves ahead of others by reusing materials; it's an opportunity to be original. My necklaces are never duplicated, they are "clever" meaning that they are designed to be worn in many different ways instead of just one traditional configuration. I also make sure there is detail in the back of the necklace that complements the front...
No two-pieces are ever the same, just like our beautiful selves in this crazy, cruel and wonderful world...
Velvet, ribbon, lace, fabric, suede cords, leather, braided and rope cords, many various and eclectic beads, Hemp cords, glass and crystal beads, gemstones, semi-precious, stone tumbled smooth or coarse/raw, rhinestones and rhinestone chain, chains, (ie. cable, curb, etc.), charms and pendants, repurposing, upcycling, found object and and vintage, pearls and various beads, cat’s eye, turquoise, bead chips, seashells, flat coral, beaded and "blingy", small bottles, glitter, keys (inexpensive layered materials) and so much more...
It's like a puzzle, I'll pick something that I want as the focal piece and build around it, I'll map it out first on a flat surface. I try to look at it as a painting in regards to composition where the neckline and chest are the canvas. I spend a lot of time troubleshooting because how it lays in front of me flatly does not translate 3-dimensionally, designing is nothing how it's going to hang- the jewelry is sculpted. The Art of Jewelry is defined and established. The piecing together part of the process is very time-consuming for sure, so this is heavily why I consider what the overall value is, when pricing something, it's all about the time it took. More about the process..
Nothing is set in stone, if you don't like the direction I'm going with something we will just adjust to meet your needs. I leave all pieces with creative space to personalize/finalize the design. One of the final stages of creation is to make sure all the connectors are stable, durable, working fasteners, cleaned ups and rhinestones set.
IV. Popular Necklace Configurations
1) Charm/Choker/Lariat - simple and traditional, but never basic. There needs to be a good range of jewelry that isn't complicated and easy to wear, that can be worn daily. Totally affordable for everyone and yet still clever, a minimum 3-charms.
2) Drop / Y- / Necktie / Tassel Pendant - the necklace can be worn short or long and hangs like a necktie, elements are chained vertically, displayed blunt and plunged deeply, the pendant itself can be fringed, tasseled or blunt.
3) Wrap-Arounds - different styled sections lined up and chained together horizontally. Linearly lined so the necklace can be layered, worn long or as a choker, wrapped around as a necklace, bracelet and/or anklet.
4) Fringe - typically a choker or collar necklace whose elements hang off the pendant horizontally in a line, like a "fringe" as the pendant or focal point.
5) Chain-Key Classic Fringe - I use a horizontal section of chain, and build vertically off that first chain section. Components of necklaces are often beaded, and fringe-displayed; the set-up, the bones, the framework of the design, how it's put together and then displayed determines this unique configuration. I do a lot of these, a style I use mostly because it's dynamic both horizontally AND vertically. I often use keys as the focal pieces with this setup, it presents a nicely-layered and balanced contrast in composition.
6) Statement - necklaces are MEGA, and make a Statement all about the beautiful person wearing it! It's the main focal piece of the entire outfit, they are my favorite to make! Making each one is a journey in itself for me. They take a long time to make, so they are often much more expensive. Each piece tells a story, about me AND the person wearing it. They embody multiple necklace types and genre styles (ie. Steampunk and Bohemian paired) all mashed into one giant, beautiful piece of art that covers the entire chest. They're complex and complicated, just like the story it represents...
Necklace Types above, anything can be adjusted, nothing is perfect, just like us and in life. We grow & change, so do the necklaces- nothing has to be permanent. We'll do what we need to do and can to make you feel good about what it is we need to adjust. It's more than just jewelry, I mean this with my whole heart..

VII. This is the Best Way I Know How to Show Love
There is just So Much Love in this for you & me, THANKYOU!! What is most important in life to me is reflected here in my jewelry, there is symbolism throughout. It's more than just jewelry to me, not only to just be worn, practical, or functional- this is my ART, this is MY HEART, to which you now have a piece of! It is you that has inspired me to create. This is a connection that is much more profound than any ol' necklace transaction, it is special to me because you're important in this world too. So I'm giving you my heart, I can appreciate you this way, thankyou again for allowing me create for you this is love that has manifested physically...
I was invited to my husband's family's beach trip, Isle of Palms, South Carolina summer 2014. I had an amazing time and just felt so honored to be there with them--I was very fortunate! So the following Christmas I wanted to do something meaningful for these wonderful people; they'd welcomed me into their family, THAT'S HUGE! And what could I do for people that needed or wanted nothing? ART, that's all I have, so I made them jewelry using seashells we'd collected with my husband's niece and nephew.
It was like I'd known how to make jewelry my whole life already, taking on this project. The skill came so naturally and easily, It was easy for me to get carried away with. I'd lose days on end, the possibilities were infinite!! I've always been an artist, but this is a profound gift, newly discovered. I needed no instruction except ideas seen on Pinterest. So since then, in the past decade, I've made sure to give everyone I love through life one of these necklaces.
If I can find a way to capture that awe and wonder and love in which life blesses us with, to give every woman who has ever lost love something special from MY heart, I want to and will! I was really healing myself, truly! I discovered something about myself and potentially where my purpose here on earth lies. And I want to do this with my life too, I found myself-- I want to help others find their way too...
IX. It's Subjective Because it is ART
We look at this jewelry artistically, subjectively- I am not concerned with quality over appearance. I am more interested in how the piece looks while it is on, how it looks to both you and others. My utmost hope, wish and desire is that it gives you confidence and brings you joy, positivity and wonderment and beautiful memories; we can't put a price on that now can we? It is measurable however we can know if the piece succeeds or not. If it is successful then now you have reciprocated that confidence right back to me, you have GIFTED ME IN RETURN! I can't tell you how much joy that personally brings me but it keeps me afloat in this impossible world! That is so very therapeutic for all of us! AS ART over function, how it Feels over practicality, how it MAKES YOU FEEL over aesthetic, this is Functional Sculpting-- that's what we're after here...
I am getting older, my eyesight has diminished significantly, unfortunately my craftsmanship sometimes suffers. I do my best to tighten everything up and things are cleaned but sometimes things slip or get overseen if the lighting is poor at night. I will happily repair any piece that breaks and gladly pay for shipping to me as well as to you, and I am apologizing profusely ahead of time!
There may be some tarnishing, the best thing to do is clean with baking soda and water, otherwise this falls underneath the "not the best quality because it's ART" thing. The coloring of the antiquing is actually intentional...
